Kid with his coloring book and pastels
Asking for colors he should use…
My dear,
Piece of chocolate is chocolate brown
Strawberry is strawberry red
Don’t you remember?
But blueberry is purple in color
Oranges of ours are green
Imported are orange color
You know…
Kid sorting out tiny color pastels
Puzzled look in his face
Aren’t colour, taste and smell of
slab of chocolate
basket of fruits
faded out of his head,
make me sad.
The rupee kite climbed up
Floating high in the sky free
While mocking rulers’ blow
it high further
We continue becoming dwarfs
in front of shop display racks.
